I was reading an article in an online encyclopedia about the term education technology or educational technology – the enhancement and improvement of the learning processes for students with the use of different forms of technology – when an idea came to my mind. I was suddenly I have been using several types technology such as computers, interactive whiteboards, and educational software in my job as a secondary school teacher for students in the 11th and 12th grades or the junior and senior students for several years already.

           So I said to myself that I should take a professional course in educational technology so I could learn about this field, enhance my educational qualifications as an educator, and increase my chances for career growth and professional advancement at the same time. I decided that pursuing an online master's degree in educational or education technology on a part-time basis from an online school would be the best option for me because I could not afford to give up my teaching job at the school and lose a source of income.

           So I researched the Internet about online colleges or universities that offered online degree programs in education technology. I made sure that I would choose an online school that is credible, reliable and its academic programs are accredited. I studied the online course outlines of a particular university that offered an online master's degree in education technology and I was impressed that the degree focused in training students to various forms of technology. So now I am in the first year of my online master's degree in educational technology and in the last few weeks of the second semester for the first year of the degree. I am proud to say that I am learning many things about the online course whiles still doing my job as a secondary school teacher.
